(GUANTÁNAMO, January 30) The Cuban political prisoner and of
conscience Jorge Luis Larrazabal Zulueta has been locked up in the well known "Death
Lane" punishment section of Combinado de Guantánamo non stop for
over three months.
"Two officers one on each side were dragging him. I could see the light
was bothering him because his eyes were closed. Hes been locked up in one
of those damned holes at "Death Lane" for close to three months, he
looks bad. Somebody has to try and do something so that he is sent to his
regular cell or theyll finish him off in there." - read a bullet*

Jorge Luis Larrazabal Zulueta, a member of the CUTC (Unitary Council of
Workers of Cuba), was arrested and accused of participating in the distribution
of anti government propaganda in the northern part of the city of Guantánamo.
He is serving a three- year sentence for the "assumed" crime of
contempt since January 2000.
