CAMAGÜEY, May 2 (Normando Hernández, CPIC) - A pharmacy in the
city of Camagüey, in central Cuba, is selling outdated birth control pills
to consumers, according to Antonio Ariel Bejerano, who says his wife became
pregnant in spite of having taken the pills.
"The place in the package where the expiration date should appear has
been blacked out with ink," said Bejerano.
Bejerano said his wife bought the pills at the "Álvarez Fuentes"
pharmacy, at the corner of Avellaneda and San Esteban Streets in the city.
