Epileptic prisoner without medical attention in Guantánamo jail

Havana, July 24 (Car it to me Diaz Fernandez, APSIC) - 22 years old inmate Jorge Coba, victim of epilepsy, has been confined to the infirmary of the Guantánamo jail, where he does not receive any medical attention.

Coba is in a very bad physical condition due to the repeated attacks that come accompanied by seizures and unconsciousness, denounced the group "Presidio Político Pedro Luis Boitel" (a political prisoners organization that denounces, from inside penitentiaries, prisoners' condition) in a note illicitly extracted from prison.

According to the note, the doctors, with Dr. Aracelis as the head physician, justify the mistreatment by saying that the inmate is faking the attacks.

Many cases of prisoners' death due to the lack of medical attention has been reported from this infamous jail on the east of the island.
