GUANTANAMO, July 19 (Luis Torres Cardosa, Lux InfoPress) - Prisoner of
consciousness Néstor Rodríguez Lobaina has been placed among
tuberculosis victims.
The wife of the political prisoner, Yunaimis Castillo Betancourt, told this
agency that Lobaina asked the officials to move two sick inmates to the
hospital, but was told that was impossible because the two victims could spread
tuberculosis to other patients at the hospital.
"I think it's clear they want Lobaina to be sick and then deny him
medical attention," said Yunaimis Castillo.
The Supreme Court ratified Lobaina's sentence of 6 years of imprisonment for
disrespect directed against Fidel Castro and public disorder.
Néstor Rodríguez Lobaina is the president of Youth for
Democracy and is going through his third political sentence.
