Personal letters confiscated as counterrevolutionary

HAVANA, July 16 (Reinaldo Cosano Alén) - Officials at the Camagüey airport customs desk confiscated personal letters carried by an outbound traveler after deciding they were "counterrevolutionary."

One of the letters read by an agent of the Ministry of the Interior said: "The situation is bad, but the worst part of it is that we are hungry." Agents confiscated several letters carried by Eduvina Dámaso González who was traveling abroad.
