CIENFUEGOS, January 26 (Alina Gonzalo, Cuba-Verdad) - Students at the "Ramón López" technical school have been given one pair of shoes this school year.

With those, they have to attend classes, play sports and work in the agricultural fields as they are required by the school.

Some of the students, whose shoes have already worn out due to their poor quality and the intensive use they put them to, have refused to go into the fields, saying they have no shoes, and have been cited for "lack of discipline." There are about 400 students at the school.
