Interior Ministry's supply chief builds house with convict labor

CIEGO DE AVILA, January 22 (Pablo Pacheco Avila, FCDH) - The Interior Ministry's provincial chief of supply for jails and prisons built a house for himself using inmates from the Canaleta prison as laborers.

Félix Cepeda Meneses, the official in charge of supplies for the province of Ciego de Ávila, managed to get what some describe as a mansion built in four months. The house is sited at kilometer 3 and a half in the highway to Ceballos, in the "9 de Abril" farm.

Cepeda also managed to get electric service in three days. There are families in the area that put in for the service more than two years ago.
