Authorities concerned about thousands of unemployed communist youth

PINAR DEL RIO, February 20 (Víctor Rolando Arroyo, UPECI) - Thousands of members of the Young Communist League (UJC) throughout the country cannot find a job and the situation is becoming a source of concern for the Cuban government.

In addition, there are reports of high absenteeism at the meetings of the political

youth organization, which, as the last step toward full-fledged Communist Party membership, is seen as the training ground for future Cuban leaders.
