BEIJING Feb. 16 Kyodo - Cuba's Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque will travel to China for an official visit from Feb. 25 to March 3, Chinese officials said Thursday.

Perez will meet Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan to discuss bilateral issues and international affairs, Chinese Foreign Ministry officials said.

China and Cuba concluded an agreement to step up military cooperation last December during a visit to Cuba by Gen. Fu Quanyou, chief of staff of China's People's Liberation Army,.

The two countries have strengthened their military ties since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
