HAVANA, September 11 (Israel Picallo, CPI) The Cuban government has partnered with a Spanish firm to run Havanas water and sewer system under the name "Aguas de La Habana" or Waters of Havana.
The service at present exhibits severe deficiencies. In broad areas of central and old Havana, residents have for years been supplying their needs by carrying buckets from tank trucks, as they have no running water. In most cases, these areas had running water and sewers at one time; neglect and
lack of repairs have reduced them to their present condition.
