HAVANA, November 16 (José Antonio Fornaris, Cuba-Verdad) – Agents of the Department of State Security broke up a meeting of dissidents in a private home during the afternoon today.

The agents surrounded the home in the Vieja Linda district of Arroyo Naranjo municipality, Havana, where 25 dissidents were holding a conference on racial integration. The agents told those present that the conference could not be held and threatened to arrest everyone present.

The conference was one of several that have been held in the past three weeks as part of a movement called "Civic School for Democracy."
