HAVANA, November 13 (Ricardo González Alfonso ) "Down
with Fidel, dictator" read the sign that showed up Saturday morning in
Nueva Gerona, the capital of the Isle of Youth, formerly the Isle of Pines,
south of the main island.
Hubert Rodríguez Tudela, a human rights activist there, said that so
far there have been no arrests. According to the Cuban penal code, anyone
accused of putting up the sign could be charged with posting enemy propaganda
and face one to eight years in prison.
