Four Injured After Explosion, Fire

HAVANA, May 24 (José Antonio Fornaris, Cuba-Verdad) – At least four people were injured after an explosion caused a building to collapse and a fire yesterday afternoon in central Havana.

The injured were listed as an eight year old girl, a twenty year old woman, a pregnant woman and an older woman. Police said the explosion of an air compressor in a tire repair shop caused a partial building collapse and an explosion and fire involving two LPG tanks. Firemen put out the fire which threatened adjoining structures.
