HAVANA, May 25 (Pedro Crespo Jiménez , Grupo de Trabajo Decoro) Patrons of restaurants and cafeterias at the beaches east of Havana increasingly complain of poor service at the facilities.
Beatriz Corona Miranda and her husband, Víctor M. Rodríguez Sosa, both physicians, recently took another couple visiting from Spain to the Mi Cayito restaurant. They found the establishment didnt have a menu for patrons to see. Eventually they ended up at the San Remo, in
Boca Ciega beach, where they found there were no menus available either. They nevertheless had lunch there, consisting of meagre pieces of chicken and a padded check.
When they complained they were told that something would be done, but that everywhere bills were padded, even in Madrid, evidently a jab at the Spanish guests at the table.
