VILLA CLARA, CAIBARIÉN, May 23 (Héctor Trujillo Pis) - Eight men who have been held in the Villa Clara provincial prison for the last two years are demanding to be brought to trial.
The eight were arrested when they sneaked into Cuba from the United States in order to pick up some relatives to take back with them.
Mayra Rodríguez Martín, the mother of one of them, said "My son, Lázaro Carvajal Rodríguez, and the other seven, have gone on several hunger strikes, some lasting as long as 15 days. They want to be tried or to be set free, but their demands have not been heard."
