VILLA CLARA, May 17 (Isabel Rey, Cuba Press) Bogus invoices, fabricated expense reports, and outright embezzlement are some of the irregularities the National Organization of Auditors found at all administrative levels of the government, according to its recent report.
A partial audit of the agricultural sector in this province alone found an unexplained deficit of US $12,633. The auditors could not perform audits in some departments because "there were no books or documents or there was no personnel that could do the accounting."
In the "Andrés Cuevas" Farm Cooperative, the auditors found that the former president had delivered products paid for in dollars to people not related to that State enterprise.
