SANTIAGO DE CUBA, May 5 (Luis Alberto Rivera, APLO) - Fisheries in Santiago de Cuba, the second largest city in the island, sell fish gurry meant as dog food which customers are appropriating for their own consumption.
The one kilogram packages contain fish heads, guts, tails and fins and sell for 2 pesos each. Demand is such that fights have broken out in queues of residents waiting to purchase it.
One user said that the trick is to grind the contents of the packages to be able to make something out of them.
