CIEGO DE ÁVILA, May 4 (Juan Carlos González Leyva, FAPDH) - The pastor of the Assemblies of God in Morón, in north-central Cuba, was fined 500 pesos (U.S. $25) for providing lodging in his home for three visiting Canadian clergymen.
Government officials paid Rev. Rubén García a visit at his church and fined him for "providing lodging for foreigners at his home." Rev. García explained that the Canadians were not tourists, but preachers connected to the church, to no avail.
The Canadians spent one night in García's home and then sought lodging at a government-run hotel.
