HAVANA, April - Cuban pharmaceutical laboratories have produced a nutritional supplement called "Biopla" which is made from human placenta, according to an article in Tribuna de La Habana last week.

The product, which is being used successfully, according to the newspaper, in the intensive therapy centers of the "Carlos J. Finlay" and the "Luis Díaz Soto" hospitals, presumably provides a high protein content.
