HAVANA, March 27 (Reinaldo Cosano Alén) - Yuniel Rodríguez Fernández, 9, was shot and killed as a result of a fight between his uncle and another man.

The uncle, Geises Rodríguez Fernández, 20, was shot twice in the leg and his wife was also shot.

Geises, a guard at the correctional prison of Guasán, in Havana province, was at home when a co-worker with whom he had been fighting named Miguel walked in, shooting all three victims before Geises managed to take the gun away from him.

Young Yuniel died in spite of efforts by personnel from the CIMEX clinic and the pediatric hospital where he was taken.
