HAVANA, March 10 (Claudia Márquez Linares, Grupo Decoro) - Independent Cuban journalist Armando Añel Guerrero was declared the winner of the 'Liberty Prize' sponsored by Mexico-City-based magazine 21st Century Profiles.
The prize includes an invitation to a seminar at the International Academy for the Training of Leaders, Kottenheide, Germany, from the 2nd to the 16th of April on the topic "Liberty and the Market Economy."
This marks the first time that a Cuban journalist is honored with the prize. It is a source of deep satisfaction for Cuba's independent press to have one of its youngest members recognized by this prestigious organization.
