Young Man Sentenced To Two Years For Disrespect

HAVANA, June 21 (Javier Rodríguez, Comisión de Estudios Alternativos) – Heriberto Correa Rodríguez, 25, was sentenced to two years in jail for disprespect by the municipal tribunal of Güines, a city south of Havana.

Correa was accused of distributing flyers containing information contrary to the government in 1999. He is the son of human rights activist Heriberto Correa, in exile since 1994. The young Correa started serving his sentence at the Quivicán prison on April 24.
