CIEGO DE AVILA, November 29 (Pablo Pacheco Avila, FCDH) – Librado Zamora Vega, 73, was stabbed nine times for 800 pesos (38 dollars). The stabber is, according to police, the 16-year-old daughter of his ex-lover.

Police said that after killing Zamora, the girl filled his face with salt and set fire to his head. She had allegedly commited two similar crimes before; the first, in Camagüey, where she stabbed a woman twice with an ice pick, and the second in Morón, where she stabbed an old man with scissors.

In both incidents, the motive was robbery, police said.
