HAVANA, November 29 (Alida Viso Bello) Authorities prevented a
regularly-scheduled monthly meeting of heads of dissident organizations from
taking place November 27.
Police arrested three and kept others away from the "Baraguá"
farm, which is the headquarters of the November 30th Movement, a dissident
organization.
The arrested are: Jorge Enrique Santana Carreira, Luis Oswaldo Manzaneira Cúcalo
- both members of the November 30th Movement - and Humberto Guerra Perugorría,
president of Liberal Movement, informed Mercedes Constantín, director of
Centro de Información sobre la Democracia.
The police also kept Pedro Batista Méndez, another member of the
November 30th Movement, from attending and threaten and insulted José
Orlando González Bridón, of the CTDC.
Two independent journalists, Oswaldo de Céspedes Feliú and
Juan González Febles, were among those turned away from the environs of
the farm.
