State Security Agents Visit And Threaten Dissident

HAVANA, August 17 (Alida Viso Bello) – Two agents of the Department of State Security visited dissident Bárbaro Antonio Vela Crego on the night of Tuesday the 15th at home to warn him not to participate in any public demonstration without stipulating which one they had in mind.

Vela Crego, 45, is the president of the Civic Movement January 6. Vela Crego and the policemen talked for twenty minutes outside his door, since he woudn’t let them into his house. Before leaving, one of the agents said: "Bárbaro Antonio, you have the solution so that your family won’t feel bad psychologically."
