HAVANA, August 14 (Carmelo Díaz Fernández, APSIC) Officials at the post office in the Lenin District in the city of Camagüey say they have no funds to redeem money orders presented by customers.
Susana del Risco Pedroso, a resident of Havana, sent her parents in Camagüey a postal money order, but when they went to the post office to get their money, they were told the administrator was out of the office looking for funds to redeem the money orders.
"This is not the first time this happens. On three previous occasions my parents have had to wait for the money I send them," said del Risco. "It seems the office in Lenin District is perennialy out of funds."
