HAVANA, August 7 (Eduardo G. Estrada, ANC) The "Israel Cabrera" factory manufactures school notebooks with a printed legend that reads: "Sale prohibited; for free distribution." Yet these notebooks are sold for three pesos each in government stores.
"The government denies in fact its own official propaganda," said one customer.
In schools across the country, students are required to bring to school a number of notebooks.
"The interesting thing is that anyone looking at these notebooks would think that the government provides the children with them."
