Police Book Youths By The Hundred

HAVANA, June 19 (Fara Armenteros, UPECI) - Police from the Technical Department of Investigations (DTI) booked almost a hundred youths in the Havana municipality of 10 de Octubre on June 14.

The youths were summoned to the 10th Police Unit in Havana to be booked without having commited any previous crime.

One of the youths involved was UPECI independent journalist Julio César Franco, who questioned the reason for the booking. He was told that "it was an order from officer Rosas, of the DTI, and we have to book you."

Once having been booked, it becomes difficult for Cubans to secure employment.
