Dissident accused of being responsible for
anti-government graffiti
HAVANA, March 31 (Roberto Santana Rodríguez
/ www.cubanet.org) - Dissident Miguel Ángel
López Herrera was detained by State
Security agents in Guantanamo last week
and accused of being the author of anti-government
graffiti which appeared on the walls of
the state library in 2005.
Marielis Castro, delegate of the dissident
November 30 Democratic Party, said López
Herrera was questioned by officer Juan González
who told him that "revolutionary people"
were indignant upon seeing graffiti calling
for the release of political prisoners.
According to a source, López Herrera
lost his post as a professor of computer
sciences because of the incident with graffiti.
