Residents surprised by new clinic
RANCHUELO, Cuba - June 27 (Félix
Reyes Gutiérrez, Cubanacán
Press / www.cubanet.org) - Residents of
Ranchuelo expressed surprise when a new
clinic opened up June 22, since the trend
lately has been for neighborhood clinics
to close and consolidate their services
as doctors are shipped to Venezuela and
other countries.
The doctor and two nurses that work at
the new facility render service to more
than 1,000 families. These clinics provide
primary health care to the population.
