envelopes
RANCHUELO, Cuba August 22 (Félix
Reyes, Cubanacán Press / www.cubanet.org)
- The post office in the town of Ranchuelo
has been without envelopes for nearly two
weeks, preventing residents from mailing
their correspondence.
Postal workers said the envelopes were
on order from the postal services central
stores.
Oscar Mario González Pérez,
a local resident who wanted an envelope
to enclose a letter to relatives, said,
"It's unusual in this country when
someone can't communicate with family members
because of the lack of a piece of paper."
