Montes de Oca ratifies his position
from prison
(HAVANA, CUBA, October5 / Puenteinfocubamiami.org)
- Last Tuesday, René Montes de Oca
called me from the prison la Pendiente,
where he is serving an unjust sentence of
8 month, pointed out to Acción Democrática
Cubana, Moisés Leonardo Rodríguez,
Promoter of the "Corriente Martiana".
"He told us that he demanded his rights
to the official at the Court attending to
his request, he ( Montes de Oca), explains
that there could have been a small altercation
and not the climate that official sources
present. He denounces the presence of officers
of the State Security in his case, which
only points to the fact that again, there
was manipulation of a legal process in Cuba,
due to lack of separation of powers in every
aspect of the social life in Cuba."
Montes de Oca pointed out that he is in
a cell with a common prisoner whom so far
has not given him any problems. That he
received his personal hygiene needs sent
to him through his wife and sister.
He maintains a very firm posture and ratifies
that know one will be able to change his
ideals and even from prison he continues
denouncing all the Human Rights Violations
and ratifying his position as National Leader
of the Cuban Pro Human Rights Party affiliated
to the Andréa Saguaro Foundation.
"He sounded as firm as ever and sent
his greetings to the Exile community prior
to ending our conversation"- finished
saying Rodríguez.
