Arturo Pérez de Alejo Rodríguez, serving 25 years, was taken to the same hospital November but returned to the Ariza prison after being diagnosed with various ailments.

Magalys Broche de la Cruz, wife of Librado Linares García, serving a 20-year sentence, said her husband was taken from the Ariza prison and interned at the hospital at the Combinado del Este prison for tests. She said he has damage to the retina of his left eye and suffers from chronic gastritis, ulcers and emphysema.
