Cuban dissident sentenced to 15 months in
prison
RANCHUELO, Cuba, December 3 (Félix
C. Reyes, Cubanacán Press / www.cubanet.org)
- A municipal court has sentenced Daniel
Orlando Gömez Osés, a member
of the Democratic Liberal Party, to 15 months
imprisonment for anti-government activities.
However, since he suffers from a heart
ailment he will serve his sentence in a
correctional institute and not a prison.
Eleven dissidents testified in his favor
at the trial.
