Water to be delivered in tankers because dams low

SANTA CLARA, Cuba, December 1 (www.cubanet.org) - As of today, water is to be delivered in Santa Clara by tanker truck because of low levels in the Agabama, Hanabanilla, Minerva and Palmarito dams in Santa Clara province.

The low levels are a result of a severe draught that has affected the eastern provinces.

Residents in this city of 300,000 have started joking that water can now be added to the ration books.
