Cuban doctors promised housing and car incentives for Venezuelan duty

HAVANA, Cuba, November 5 (www.cubanet.org) - The Cuban government is offering doctors who serve for two years in the joint project with the Venezuelan government advantages upon their return to Cuba in renting housing or acquiring a car.

A doctor who decided to remain in Cuba said they have also been promised a monthly stipend of 50 dollars for life.

The mother of a doctor who left for Venezuela recently said her daughter was participating in the program in order to raise some money to throw a party for her daughter and to repair their home. "If she hadn't gone, neither one would be possible," she said.
