HAVANA, March 19 (Luis Viño Zimerman / www.cubanet.org) - Cuban
activist Leonardo Miguel Bruzón, 46, has been on a hunger strike since
March 15 in his cell at the Technical Investigations Department (DTI) in Havana,
where he has been held since February 23.
Bruzón is protesting his arbitrary confinement and his lawyers
inability to obtain the files on his case.
Attorney Jorge R. Betancourt, who represents Bruzón, filed a
complaint March 14 with the provincial prosecutors office, in which he
says that on four separate occasions he has been denied his clients file.
Bruzóns wife says she has been told by investigators at the DTI
that her husband will be accused of "public disorder, disrespect, and
resistance."
