Cuba has agreed to send a 31-member medical team to Liberia as part of its
technical aid programme for the health sector, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
The agreement was announced in a joint communique issued after a meeting last
weekend of the Liberia-Cuba Joint Commission, the agency reported. Cuba also
said it wanted to expand commercial ties with Liberia. For its part, Liberia has
asked for technical aid to develop human resources in the areas of debt
management and tax administration.
