Dissident's trial suspended again

HAVANA, May 9 (José Antonio Fornaris, Cuba-Verdad) – The trial of dissident Isabel del Pino, previously postponed and set for today, was again suspended without explanation.

At aroung 2 p.m. Wednesday, an official of the Popular Municipal Tribunal in Centro Habana, opened the doors of the courtroom and announced unceremoniously to the approximately four dozen dissidents gathered there that all further proceedings at the court had been suspended.

Sometime later, a policeman said all proceedings had been suspended by order of the president of the Popular Power (local government) because the site was going to be used for a political event.

Del Pino is accused of making unspecified threats against a woman who is a Communist Party official.
