Independent journalist held

SANTIAGO DE CUBA, April 3 (Juan Carlos Garcell, APLO) - Independent journalist Luis Alberto Rivera, of this agency, was held by police officers as he tried to cover news of an eviction here.

Department of State Security major José Daniel saw Rivera taking notes while the eviction of a woman and her two children was going on and put him into one of the patrol cars present at the scene. Rivera was held for more than a half hour and then released.
