CAMAGUEY, Cuba (Normando Hernández, CPIC) Three men were
sentenced to one year each in prison for selling dog meat in the municipality of
Céspedes in Camaguey province.
The three men Carlos Daniel Alvarez Martínez, Amauri Brizuela
Araujo and Eduardo Pupo López told customers they were buying
mutton. They were accused of selling the meat of 14 dogs.
The meat sold for eight pesos a pound and was sealed in nylon bags to make
it look better.
