Thousands of people in Cuba have taken part in a rally in the capital,
Havana, to honour the victims of the bombing of a Cuban airliner in 1976.
The demonstrators called for the trial of a prominent Cuban exile, Luis
Posada Carriles, on charges of terrorism in connection with the bombing.
Mr Posada has long denied involvement in the attack, in which seventy-three
people were killed.
Earlier this month, he was detained in Panama on suspicion of involvement in
a plot to assassinate the visiting Cuban president, Fidel Castro.
