CIEGO DE AVILA, November 16 (Emilio Martín Morales, FCDH) A
man was fined 1,500 pesos by an inspector in an apparent incident of entrapment
in the city of Morón.
The man, Juan Méndez Peña, a resident of Camagüey, was
carrying two wooden carvings as he walked down the street when someone unknown
to him approached him and asked him whether he was selling the wood figures. Méndez
said he would for 25 dollars. At this point the stranger identified himself as
an inspector, and took Méndez to a police station and fined him.
