HAVANA--Five Cuban workers were killed and 11 more were injured in an
accident at a military factory on the island this week, Cuba's Armed Forces
Ministry said on Thursday.
Three other workers remained missing after the accident on Tuesday at
what the ministry called a "pyrotechnics" workshop at the Commander
Ernesto Che Guevara Military Industry Enterprise in central Villa Clara
province.
A ministry statement spoke only of an "unfortunate accident"
and did not describe the incident that killed the four women and one man at the
plant.
Cuba's armed forces were investigating the accident.
