HAVANA, April 27 (Lucas Garve, CPI) - "How can we be sending medicines to other countries," people ask themselves, "when often there are no medicines available here? Furthermore, where do the medicines donated to Cuba end up?"
In Bahía Honda, province of Havana, residents would like to know where medicines donated by the European Union go. The local hospital, the II Congreso, does not have many medications, including antibiotics.
The few medicines available to the population are made in the hospital pharmacy from plant materials, which locals call green medicine, under rudimentary conditions.
