Parents Decry Students’ Living Conditions

LAS TUNAS, June 13 (Fermín Luis Valdés, Agencia Libertad) – The parents of students at "Las Hortalizas No. 3" secondary school here are concerned by the poor living conditions at the school.

Specifically parents mentioned poor lighting, deteriorated bedding and lack of security, which has resulted in outsiders frequently stealing students’ few belongings. According to the parents, meals typically consist of rice, pea porridge and a boiled banana.
