ARTEMISA, HAVANA, July 24 (Rafael Peraza, APO) In a scene reminiscent of the film Guantanamera, neighbors and relatives of Justino Martín arrived at the cemetery here pushing the hearse that carried his body. The car had run out of fuel six blocks from the cemetery.
A month before, when Fidel Labrador, one of Fidel Castros original companions in the 1953 attack on an army barracks, died in this same town, the government painted the sidewalks in República Street all the way to the cemetery, there was an honor guard, dignitaries in attendance and
nobody ran out of fuel.
Even in death, it seems, the workers are not equal in this workers paradise.
