Pedicab Drivers Subject To Prostate Problems

ARTEMISA, HAVANA, July 24 (Rafael Peraza, APO) – Several pedicab drivers in Pinar del Río province have changed occupations because they say pedaling all day affected their prostates.

Some of the drivers try to prevent the problem by varying the height of the pedals, but medical authorities say continued pedaling affects the prostate, no matter what the height of the pedals.

The pedicabs for two people have become an alternative form of transport in Cuba since 1990.
