HAVANA, July 16 (María Elena Rodríguez, Cuba-Verdad) - Three pharmacies in El Cerro municipality in Havana have for the last month been selling out-of-date medicines to patients by order of the Public Health Ministry.
The drugs had been in storage and, before being shipped to the pharmacies, had their expiration dates altered. The source of this information was afraid of being identified, but said that some of the drugs had deleterious effects on those that take them. "Metroclopamida, for example, has
caused facial paralysis in children."
