HAVANA, January 24 (Vicente Escobal, Lux Info Press) - The Institute for Social and Labor Independent Research, an adjunct of the Federated Union of Electrical Plants, Gas, and Water of Cuba is preparing a survey about the Cuban Constitution. The poll of about 450 citizens will basically try to
find out how much Cubans know about the Constitution, and will be carried out simultaneously in Havana, Matanzas and Santiago de Cuba provinces.
The questionaire consists of seven questions and is addressed to a population that is not used to social investigation of this nature or to freely express opinions. It starts by asking if the subject knows what is the Constitution of the Republic and ends by asking for information on previous
constitutions.
The results of the survey should be ready by next March.
